The Museum

The Vietnamese Community in Australia/Vic Chapter is aiming to develop and build Australia’s first Vietnamese Australian Museum and Community Centre in recognition of the settlement of Vietnamese Refugees here in Australia.

The museum will become home to the Vietnamese community and seek to collect, preserve and exhibit Vietnamese culture, history and identity as a reminder and example of Australia’s world-class multicultural society.

The multifaceted facility will contain dynamic exhibits and stories that will provide a unique insight into the Diaspora story and ongoing journey of the Vietnamese Australian Community.

The facility will also support community development and engagement with the wider community, capable of hosting programs and initiatives which will help transform this site into an iconic civic hub, resource centre and a must-see destination in Victoria.
